A citation is useful only when the cited passage actually supports the nearby claim.
I pass the model clearly identified evidence chunks and require the response to reference only source IDs present in that request. The application validates those IDs and renders user-facing links from trusted metadata rather than model-generated URLs. If the retrieved evidence does not support a claim, the response omits it or states that the available sources are insufficient.
