Overview
Dynamic Shared Quota offers flexible access to a shared pool; Provisioned Throughput reserves a chosen amount of capacity.
I use Dynamic Shared Quota for variable or tolerant workloads because it draws from a shared pool without a fixed reservation, but temporary capacity pressure can produce resource-exhausted responses. I use Provisioned Throughput when a stable production workload needs more predictable capacity and the fixed commitment is justified. The choice is made per model, location, traffic shape, and business priority.
